Functional Integration®

Functional Integration® is a one-to-one approach to the Feldenkrais Method®. A form of tactile, kinesthetic communication, Functional Integration sessions are designed so the practitioner can help you learn to reorganize your body and your behavior to produce expanded functional motor patterns. Learning, change, and improvement are achieved through the use of nonverbal instructor-guided gentle touch and movement.

Functional Integration lessons are custom-developed to meet your unique needs. During lessons, the practitioner guides you through movement with gentle, non-invasive touching. Sessions may be conducted while you lie on a table, sit, or stand, fully clothed. Props, such as pillows, rollers, or blankets, may be used to facilitate movements. Invasive and forceful procedures are never used.

Functional Integration is useful for anyone, including infants or the severely impaired. It is widely recognized for its ability to successfully address serious muscular-skeletal and neurological problems in a painless, effective, and pleasurable fashion.
